Steve Rodgers

Steve is a partner in Rodgers Law. He graduated in 1979 from Otago University, and has been a partner in Dunedin law firms for 27 years.

His areas of expertise include commercial and business law, property law, farming, trusts and succession law.

He has been involved in Sport Otago as a trustee, Otago Polytechnic, executive member of the Otago District Law Society, Deputy Chair of the Otago Nuggets and Chair of Parafed New Zealand.

Werner van Harselaar

Werner is a partner in Rodgers Law and specialises in Immigration, Gambling Societies, Employment and Transport.

His previous background in secondary teaching provides knowledge in Education and assisting school Boards of Trustees. Werner's community involvement includes being the Board Chair of his local primary school, and a director on the Southern Steel Netball franchise.

Bob Lawrence

Bob has worked in law since his second year at University. He has been a Partner in Dunedin law firms since 1968, and joined Steve in partnership in 2001. He has been a Consultant here since 2003.

His expertise is in commercial law, (particularly corporate structure and financing), commercial property and trusts.

Bob also practices as an Arbitrator and Mediator, is a member of the arbitration and mediation panels, and of the rural list of the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand.

Evan Moore

Born and raised in the Maniototo, with his high school years at Waitaki Boys', Evan completed his law degree in 1976 and a B.D. in 1993 and apart from two years on his OE has worked continuously as a general lawyer.

He joined Steve in 1994 as a consultant.

Evans main areas of expertise are residential conveyancing, general family law, and also dealing with Wills, Trusts and Estates. He is Chair of The Southern Trust and The St Kilda Community Sports Society.

Pieter Brits

After completing a B Comm LLB in South Africa, Pieter worked as a military legal advisor before travelling to the United Kingdom where he started an accommodation business and travelled extensively.

Pieter joined Rodgers Law in 2003. His areas of expertise are in commercial and property law. He also works for a number of farming clients whom he relates to being from a farming background.

He holds directorships in Tracplus Global Ltd and Daestra New Zealand Ltd, both Dunedin based technology companies operating globally.

Michael Win

Michael graduated LLB in May 2003. Prior to commencing his law studies, Michael was a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and for over 20 years specialised in accounting for the rural sector, small to medium size businesses and trusts, as well as estate and asset planning.

Michael's main area of practice are business and farm sales and acquisitions, residential and commercial property, trusts, estate planning and wills, succession planning for the rural sector and businesses, relationship property and tax. He is now a partner in Rodgers Law.
